Raincoat!

So, here's the thing. As a child I had a navy raincoat that I really, really loved. All my sisters had one but in different colours. It had plaid lining on the inside and I remember wearing it with my navy Dalmatian rubber boots that I also really loved. I've been on the search for a nice raincoat for a while now. I bought a cool metallic, iridescent looking one last year and although it looked totally awesome, it was super noisy. Every time I moved it was like crumpling paper. What I really wanted was a navy raincoat, something similar to the one that I had when I was younger. My sister came home the other day with a new purchase of a gorgeous yellow trench rain coat. I was in love. It was so nice. I figured I would get one of those in navy because there were so many colours. I even tried her yellow coat on and thought it was really nice. I finally went to the store yesterday to see them in person, try them on and decide the right colour for me (there were a few other colours I liked as well.) I tried the ebony colour and just didn't like the way it looked on me and the white trench with rose gold buttons were only in larger sizes so that one wasn't even an option :(. But the navy was there and that one mattered the most. But on my way toward the trench raincoats, I came across a smaller, more loosely fitted raincoat just hanging around that is pretty similar to the one I always wanted and thought "I'll come back for that." I went over, picked out the trench raincoats, came back and grabbed the other one and went to try them on. It was really hard to choose. I tried both on, back and forth so many times. I texted everyone for their opinions and they all replied with "The trench, it's so stylish." I did love it but I think you know which one I picked. I picked the other one. It fits so much more comfortably, better for layering in this colder weather, but thin and perfect for summer rain. The inside is lined with stripes, similar to me old one, am I right? It's not always about buying what looks good, it's what feels good and what will make you happy. This simple raincoat is everything I have been looking for and I'm so happy with it!
